Brief Information About Adger

Adger is a small village, which can hardly a town. It is located in the County of Birmingham in the state of Albama. It is located just outside Bessemer and covers an area of about 131 sq. miles. Some of the area's of economic activity is centered around local groceries, post office among others. Residents are engaged in diversified activities like roofing, construction, hauling, plumbing among others. The town is also quite famous historically, since it was named after A.M.Adger, treasurer cum secretary of the land and improvement company of Bessemer. It is basically a minning town with coal and iron as the principal minerals that are extracted.  Adger is located almost at the heart of the mineral district. Coal is extracted by the process of both the underground and the strip method of mining. Most of the inhabitants are generally white and the town is well connected by all modes of transportation. Some points of interest includes the Water Mark Mall, Vision land now renamed as Albama Adventure, which is quite famous for its various indoor sport activities and the Civic Center of Bessemer. It is also a religious place with several churches at its vicinity like, Adger Holiness, Adger Church of God among others.
