Ann Arbor is a city in the state of Michigan and the county seat of Washtenaw County. The city is part of the larger Detroit – Ann Arbor – Flint, MI CSA. Its population at the 2010 census was 113,934, making it the sixth largest city in Michigan. The city was founded in 1824, and the name is thought to be for the stands of trees in the area.

The Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum features interactive exhibits. The city is also home to the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library. The Ann Arbor Art Fairs are well known from the time they were established in 1960. College sports are also popular. The Michigan Stadium is the largest American football stadium in the world with a 109,901 seating capacity. The city has a distinct college-town ambience.
The University of Michigan Medical Center, the preeminent health facility in the city, took the No.14 slot in U.S. News and World Report for best hospitals in the U.S., as of August 2009.
