Ansonia is a village in Darke County, Ohio. The falls within the Greenville Metro Area, and has a total area of 0.7 square miles. 2.94% of the area is water, and the rest is land. The village was established in 1845, and was initially known as Dallas. It grew significantly once the local railroad construction was completed. It was incorporated in 1867 as the Village of Dallas. The name was changed in 1885.
