Bay Minette is a city in and the county seat of Baldwin County, Alabama. It is part of the Daphne–Fairhope–Foley Micropolitan Statistical Area, and its population as per 2007 estimates is about 7,726. The county seat was shifted to Bay Minette from Daphne in 1900, and it was incorporated in 1901. The city has a total area of 8.0 square miles of which 0.04 square miles (0.50%) is water, with the rest being land. It is situated at an elevation of 268 feet.
