Bemidji is a city of Beltrami County in the state of Minnesota. Bemidji is also the County seat of Beltrami. It is the largest commercial center located between North Dakota, Grand Folks and Duluth. The Indian Health Service can be found here. There are a number of reservations like the Leech Lake, White Earth and the Red Lake Indian Reservation in the area.
The lake of Bemidji feeds the river of Mississippi. There are a number of parks and recreation facilities in the town and these are well preserved and adorned by visitors from around the region. A number of events are held here like the Dragon Festival, skiing and many other type of winter sports. The place also boasts of a number of golf courses.
The local media industry and the education sector are quite advanced and many find employment here. The schools in the area offer plenty of oppurtunities for the students. Dave Casper and actress Jane Russell are two famous people of the town.
