Big Lake is a city located in the County of Sherburne in the US state of Minnesota. It is located on the intersection of the state Highway No. 25 and U.S. Route No. 10. Big Lake occupies a total area of about 11.4 sq. kms. and is located at an elevated height of about 939 ft. above the ground level. A major part of the local population is white in their racial origin. They are primarily engaged in different service oriented activities in and around the town. The Elk river flows close to the city. A number of summer festivals are held here and attracts lots of visitors from around the town during that time.
