Warehousing as a concept refers to storage of goods which are produced either at a particular geographical location, or at a particular season of the year, or are imported and exported in bulk from a region. To store these gods for even distribution, warehouses, or large commercial buildings are used. Goods brought here are unloaded by cranes or forklifts, and stored for months, and then distributed. The management of the warehouses, the goods and keeping a track of its stores is the Warehouse Management System. Some leading warehouses can be seen in Bowling Green.
