The small village of Cos Cob is located in a town called Greenwich. It is on the western side of the river Mianus. Cos Cob has well developed community facilities. Education and health facilities are quite well developed in the area. Some notable residents of the town are Edwin Booth, Gary Dell' Abate etc. The railroad bridge over Mianus river, historic district of Strickland Road are among the historic districts of the town. The local people are mainly engaged with tourism.
