This usually leads to greater functionality, though an improvement in appearance is also an associated outcome in many cases. Common procedures carried out by plastic surgeons in Dallasspecializing in reconstructive surgery, include tumor removal, laceration repair, scar repair, hand surgery, and breast reduction. Cleft palates and burns are also treated by reconstructive surgery. In the latter case, skin grafting is usually carried out. If local tissue for the area to be operated on is not available, the surgeons carry out microsurgery skin, muscle, bone, fat, or some of these in combination for fashioning a reconstruction.
