With a total area of about 6.5 sq. miles, Dayton is a part of Franklin County in the U.S. state of Idaho. Dayton is a part of Logan, Utah -Idaho MSA. It is situated at an elevated point of about 4,800 ft. from sea level. Dayton is just on the western side of Cache Valley and is just at the mouth of the Five Mile Creek at the base of Bannock Mountain Range. Education and tourism are some of the important activities of the local people.
