Frankfort is a city in Kentucky is the state capital and the county seat of Franklin County.Located on the Kentucky River, Frankfort is the principal city of the Frankfort.The town of Frankfort received its name from an event that took place in 1780s.The city has a total area of 15.0 square miles (39 km2).
