Fripp Island is a 17 sq. kms. barrier island located along the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. It is located in the U.S. state of south Carolina. More than 10% of the South Carolina's workforce is attached to the tourism industry developed in Fripp Island, which is serving as the backbone of the island's economic infrastructure. Industries involved in security systems, meat, poultry and renewable energy have maintained a control of the economy of the island.
