Gustavus is a second-class city in Hoonah-Angoon Census Area in Alaska. It is often called the gateway to Glacier Bay National Park which surrounded the three sides of the peninsula with mountains and icefields. Formerly known as "Strawberry Point", Gustavus is approximately 48 air miles of Alaska's State Capitol to the west and Juneau is in southeast Alaska.
