Madera Canyon is a canyon located on the nothwestern part of Santa Rita Mountains. It is located about 40 kms. southeast of Tuscon in Arizona. There are camp sites and picnic spots along with miles of hiking trails. The canyon is a major resting place of the birds and it is aso an important bird watching area for the tourists in the area. There are hadly any permanent residents in the area.
