Montchanin is a small community town of the New Castle County in the U.S. state of Delaware. The town was named after the mother of Pierre Samuel du Pont de Nemours, Anne Alexandrine de Montchanin. There is a historical land mark in the town named the Jacob Broom house. It attracts a considerable number of tourists in the area.
