The emotions, meaning or story conveyed itself can also be of various genres, including tragedies, comedies, lyrics, tragicomedy, romance or satire. The performance is enhanced by modifying the appearance of the artist by constumes and makeup, and altering the stage by lighting, sets and props. Performances in New York City may be held at concert and music halls, open air venues or at venues attached to schools, colleges and libraries.
