The city of Piedmont is located in the Calhoun and Cherokee counties of Alabama. It is a part of the Anniston-Oxford, Alabama Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Piedmont covers a total area of 9.9 square miles out of which less than 1% is water. As per the 2000 census, the city recorded a population of 5120 people.
