Camps in Ross offer meaningful nature experiences to people of all ages, and provide opportunities to engage kids in nature through immersion in the wild outdoors to promote environmental awareness, compassion, leadership and an ethic of care for the earth. Camp skills are related to various outdoor sports and recreational activities. They range from archery and fishing to high ropes and orienteering. They provide a mix of exciting adventure and wildlife activities. One learns to survive in the North Dakota woods with constructing shelters, fire-making skills, cooking, looking for edibles, catching fish, spending nights under the stars. Through experiential learning, one feels more connected and committed to the environment.
