Hypnotherapy is a type of therapy which is used while a subject undergoes hypnosis. A hypnotherapist is a therapist who uses hypnosis as a means of treatment for patients needing help with issues requiring improvement.
Hypnotherapy is often used in some parts of the world to prepare pregnant mothers for childbirth and to assist in their piece of mind, to curb anxiety and for discomfort and pain during birth. The Department of Health in the state of Washington regulates hypnotherapists.
