Storrs is a community and census-designated place located in the U.S. state of Connecticut. It is within Tolland County in the town of Mansfield. It has a total area of 5.7 square miles at 41°48′30″N 72°14′58″W. As of the 2010 census data, it had a total population of 10,996. The University of Connecticut and the associated Connecticut Repertory Theatre lies in the heart of community. Storrs derived its name from the two brothers Charles and Augustus Storrs.
