Arapahoe is a town in Pamlico County, North Carolina. It falls within the New Bern Metro Area. It has a total area of 2.2 square miles, all of which is land. This was originally a Native American settlement, and European settlers arrived in the early eigheenth century. The town was incorporated in 1921.

Agriculture, seafood management, home improvement, florist, food service and other services are the major commercial activities here. An upcoming industry is bio-diesel production. The town also hosts a number of summer camps. It has one public school, the Arapahoe Charter School. The closest hospital is Carolina East Medical Center, located about 21 miles away in New Bern. The cost of living here is 5.50% lower than the country average.
