Adair is a town in Mayes County, Oklahoma. It has a total area of 4.5 square miles, all of which is land. It falls within the northeastern portion of the state, known as the "Green Country". It is named after prominent Cherokee brothers, William Penn Adair and Dr. Walter Thompson Adair. The town was established and incorporated in the late nineteenth century.

Manufacturing, construction and retail trade are the major economic activities here. Safari Joe's Rockcreek Exotic and the stables are the local attractions. Public schooling is administered by the Adair Independent School District. The local airport is the Grand Isle Airport.  The closest hospital is Integris Mayes County Medical Center, located about 9 miles away in Pryor.
