A town in Grand isle county was founded by Ira Allen in the year 1781. Located on a peninsula extending into Lake Champlain has a population of about 1,952.
It was basically grown around an European settlement with some french connection. With a non-island location, some of the nearby places includes Elim Point, Point Roberts etc.

The demographic consists of a population density of over 66 people per sq. mile. As usual the majority are whites, with around 97% white, 0.15% Asian, 1.95% Native Americans and many more.

A major part of the population is engaged in various types of primary activities, like agriculture and other smaller service industries.
