Alexandria is a town in Grafton County, New Hampshire. Its population at the 2010 census was 1,613. It is named after Alexandria, Virginia.
The Wellington State Park is on the western shore of the town, and Newfound Lake is in the northeast corner. The Welton Falls State Forest is within the town. A popular tourist attraction here is Mowglis Mountain, named for Rudyard Kipling's Jungle Book hero.

During the nineteenth century, the town also had a carriage maker, nine sawmills and three gristmills.
