Located on the West Bank of the river, Potomac. It has a total area of about 15 sq. miles.The city is mostly inhabited by professionals and some of the largest employers includes the U.S Defense Dept., Naval Analysis Center and the Defense Analysis Center. Apart from this, Alexandria has a diversified history, like the Market Square of Old town, Gadsby's Tavern, torpedo factory among others.
