With a total area of about 91 sq. miles, Anchor Point is small habitat in the Borugh of Kenai Peninsula. The place was named after the legend, James cook, who lost an anchor in the area. A major part of the economic activity is centered around the river, Anchor. This river is also the source of coal and a few good spots for calm digging. Lot of tourists visit the area during summers. Most of the residents are white in majority.
