A town of Fayette County, Ansted has plenty of natural attractions. The town has a total area of about has a total area of 1.7 square miles . Some of them are the Midland Trail, which is a National Scenic Byway and Hawks Nest overlooking the magnificient New River. It is closely related with the American Civil War and has many beautiful places. Some of them include Page-Vawter House, Halfway House, Hawk's Nest State Park, Lover's Leap among others.
