Apple Valley is a city in northwestern Dakota County in the state of Minnesota. It is a suburb of the Twin Cities. Its population at the 2010 census was 49,084. Before incorporation, Apple Valley was known as Lebanon Township.
The Interstate Highway 35E, Cedar Avenue, and County Road 42 are three of the main routes in the city.
