Ashland is a town in Grafton County, New Hampshire. Its population at the 2010 census was 2,076. The entire town lies within the Merrimack River watershed
The Scribner-Fellows State Forest is located here. Ashland is also near the geographical center of the state. Historically, the town initially was agriculture based, and then it became an industrial center, with a sawmill, a gristmill and the Squam Lake Woolen Mill. Today, Ashland is a residential and resort community. Tourism is the primary activity here. Attractions include Ashland Historical Society & Museums, Ashland Train Depot, Pauline E. Glidden Toy Museum, Whipple House Museum, Jellystone Park and St. Mark's Episcopal Church.
