With a total area of about 1 sq. km., Atlanta is a small town located at a height of about 900 ft. above the sea level. There are a number of churches and the town holds an Annual Home comming event during the month of June. There is a local school distict and it is both helpful for the students and also for providing employment oppurtunities to the locals. There is a recreational facility catering to the locals and tourists from outside the town. There are a number of hotels in the area and tourism is one of the principal sources of employment along with the education sector. Some of the residents are also employed with the service sector.
