Atwater is located beside the State route No. 99 of Merced County in the state of California. Its location is at a west-northwesterly direction of Merced. This city is located at an elevated point of about 151 ft. from sea level. Atwater has a total area of about 6.1 sq. miles. Couple of popular spots in the city are its Castle Air and Bloss House Museum. The education sector is well developed in the area and provides a lot of employment oppurtunities for the locals.
