Auburntown is a town in Cannon County, Tennessee. It is part of the Nashville-Davidson--Murfreesboro Metro Area, and has a total area of 0.6 square miles, all of which is land. Initially named Poplar Stand, its name was changed to Auburntown after the city of Auburn in New York. The town was incorporated in 1949.
