Ava is a small village community located in the County of Doughlas in Missouri. It also serves as the Counrty seat of Doughlas. This town was renamed as Ava, replacing its original name of Militia Springs. Ava covers a total area of about 8 sq. kms. and is located at an elevated height of about 1284 ft. from the ground level. A major part of the local inhabitants are primarily involved with different types of service oriented activities in the region. Some of them are also involved with the local Post Office. Tourism is a seasonal affair in the town and it helps in the growth of other businesses in and around the region.
