With a total area of about 2.2 sq. miles, Bad Axe is a city of Huon County and is also the County seat of Huron. Bad Axe is situated at an elevated point of 760 ft. The Public schools of Bad Axe operates a number of schools in the area. The city also has a well established presence of media industry from newspapers, radio and television. Four major roadways criss-cross the city. There are a plenty of economic potential in the education and the media industry. Some notable residents of the town are L.J.Braun and J. Prill.
