Brief Information About Baker

Baker is a town situated at an elevated point of about 930 feet. It is located in the San Bernardino County of the U.S. state of California. The town was named after R.C. Baker, a partner of F.M. Smith in building the railways. Baker has a total area of about 3 sq. miles and is located in Mojave Desert. The town is located at the southern end of the Death Valley and the Cronese Mountains are located in the southwest. There are some interesting and attractive tourist spots in the town. They are the "world's tallest thermometer", Mojave National preserve, Death Valley National Park among others. Most of the local residents are engaged in tourism and other related business activities.
