Bath is the name of a village and a town. Both of these are located in the County of Steuben and the town serves as the County seat of Steuben. While the village covers a total area of about 8 sq. kms., located at an elevated height of about 1110 ft. from the sea level, the town covers an area of about 250 sq kms. The area is clearly dominated by the dairy farming and this is celebrated annualy by the annual dairy festival held in the town. Besides, there is a medical Center and a National Cemetery in the area. As far as the development of tourism is concerned, Steuben County Fair attracts tourists in the area. The river of Conhocton flows beside the village and there is also a lake at the Southeastern part of the village. Agriculture is one of the main economic activities of the village and many are involved in agriculture related trade and other small economic activities in the region. Both the town and the village economy are interlinked, since they are located side by side and the diary industry is a significant contributor to the local economy.
