Beaver is a town in and the county seat of Beaver County, Oklahoma. The town is located on the Beaver River, and has a total area of 1.1 square miles, all of which is land. The Beaver Dunes State Park is located to the north of the town. The town was established in the late nineteenth century, and was initially meant to be called Beaver City.

Construction, mining, quarrying, and oil and gas extraction, manufacturing and utility services are the major employers here. Beaver Elementary School and Beaver High School are the local public schools. Beaver Municipal Airport is the local airport. The local hospital is Beaver County Memorial Hospital on East 8th Street.
