Beckley is a city located in the County of Raleigh in West Virginia. Some part of the population is also based on Fayette County. Beckley also serves as the County seat. With a total area of about 24 sq. kms., Beckley is located at an elevated height of about 2420 ft. above the ground level. The education sector is quite advanced in the area, with major contribution from the Mountain State University and the Concord University. There are other other educational facilities in the region and they together provide employment oppurtunities to the locals. Tourism is another local economic activity in the region.
