Bell Buckle is a town in Bedford County, Tennessee. It has a total area of 0.5 square miles, all of which is land. The town falls within the Shelbyville Metro Area. It was settled in the early nineteenth century, and incorporated in 1856. The town grew substantially during the latter half of the nineteenth century. It is also a designated Tree City, the smallest in the state.
Tourism is popular here. The town has a number of restored Victorian homes, shops, and churches located in and around downtown. The annual RC Cola and Moon Pie Festival is also held here. The Webb School is a significant part of the town. Manufacturing and construction are the other commercial activities. The closest hospital is the Heritage Medical Center, located about 10 miles away, in Shelbyville. The cost of living here is 0.90% lower than the country average.
