Blairsville is a city of Union County in the state of Georgia and it is also the County seat of this Union. Blairsville has a total area of about 1.1 sq. miles. A number of cultural events are held here. Some of the famous among these are the Green Bean Festival and the festival of Sorghum. The Nottely lake is a local recreational center. Other interesting points are the trail of Appalachian and the national forest of Chattahoochee. Brasstown Bald is one of the highest mountain peaks of the state. The education sector is quite well developed and a number of schools operate under the flagship of Union County School District. There is also the campus of North Georgia Technical College. The physical infrastructure of the city is quite well developed and the local media industry is well established.
