With a total area of about 2.2 sq. miles, Blue Ridge is a part of Fannin County in the U.S. state of Georgia. Blue Ridge is also the county seat of Fanin County. Tourism and education are couple of important areas of economic activity. The Blue Ridge Lake and Toccoa river offers magnificient views of the surrounding areas. It is surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains. This scenic landscape helps the growth of a number of outdoor tourism activities. Some of them are hiking, boating, swimming, camping and many others. Several festivals are also held in the downtown area of the town. Most of the schools in the area are operated under the School District of Fannin County. Some of the famous Blue Ridge natives are Mark Wills, Kirk Kirkpatric and Drew Blake.
