Boothbay is a town of Lincoln County in the U.S. State of Maine. The villages of Trevett and East Boothbay are within the area of Boothbay Maine. The town is also said to be the main place of various type of tourism activity in the summers. Boothbay has a total area of about 46 sq. miles and it is located in the peninsula of Cape Newagen which extends upto the area of Gulf of Maine. Boothbay is situated in between the rivers of Damariscotta and Sheepscot. There is also an island named Damariscove. It is criss-crossed by state routes No. 96 and 27. The town of Edgecomb is in the North, Harbor of Boothbay in the South and it is also separated by a water body and South Bristol in the east and Westport in the west. Some interesting points to visit include Boothbay Playhouse, Ram Island Light, Boothbay Railway Village among others. Tourism is one of the principal area of economic activity.
