Brief Information About Camas

Camas is a city located in the County of Clark. The name of the town is derived from Camas lily, a plant with an onion like bulb. Camas has a total area of about 33 sq. kms. and located at an elevated height of about 76 ft. from the sea level. There are a number of lakes and ponds located in the area and this increases the tourism potential of the area. There are also a large number of educational institutes in the area and it serves the local inhabitants with their dedicated services. A large number of high technology companies are also located within the vicinity of the city and this has helped the citizens with white collar jobs in the area. " Camas days" is a local festival held on an annual basis.
