Cape May is located at the southern most tip of Cape May Peninsula of Cape May County. Cape May is actually a part of the MSA of Ocean City. It is a part of the historic district with many Victorian style buildings in the area. It is also a great bird watching destination. As a part of the Cape May County it has a total area of about 7 sq. kms. and located at an elevated height of about 10 ft. from the ground level. A major part of the local population is generally white and they are primarily engaged with restaurants, shops, agriculture, tourism, education and other diversified economic facilities in the region. The local media is also quite advanced in the area and offers economic oppurtunities to the locals.A. Pilczuk, an American swimmer is a noted resident of the area.
