Brief Information About Carbondale

Carbondale has a total area of about 2 sq. miles. It is located in the County of Garfield. Carbondale is a Municipality under Home Rule. The location of the town is in the mid valley of the Roaring Fork River. Carbondale's location is just on the South banks of the Roaring Fork, which is at the meeting point of river Crystal. Mount Sorpis is a long mountain range located in the horizon of the town. Over the last few years, Carbondale has seen a construction boom and this has brought a lot of recreational and art activities in the region. Recently, tourism has also arrived as an important area of economic activity. Apart from these there a number of schools in the area, which also gives the locals considerable scope for employment.
