With a total area of about 2 sq. kms the town of Carrolton is elevated at a height of about 290 ft. above the sea level. Carrollton is located in the County of Carroll and is also the County seat of the latter. Carrollton is very much a part of the MCA, Greenwood. Half the residents of Carrollton are white in their racial origin, while the other half are African Americans and this fine balance helps to maintain communal harmony.
