Chataignier is a small village located in the Parish of Evangeline. Located at a height of about 60 ft. from the ground, the town of Chataignier has a total area of about 1.7 sq. kms. The local education sector is handeled by the Local School Board of Evangeline Parish. It operates a number of schools in the area.
