Globe is a city located in the County of Gila in Arizona. It was earlier famous as the mining town. Still the mining industry is the main economic activity in the area and it is followed by the tourism sector. Globe has a total area of about 47 sq. kms. and is located at a height of about 3500 ft. from the ground level. There are a few copper smelters in the town and they are primarily the main source of revenue for the local economy. Some are also involved with the tourism sector, since there are a plethora of historic buildings in the vicinity.
