Goshen is a town located in Orange County, in southeast New York, United States. The town derived its name after the land of Goshen and holds a village also called Goshen, the county seat of Orange County. Goshen is centrally located in the county. The settlement was started around 1714, even though plans for its settlement were made around 1654. The Town of Goshen was established in 1789.
