With a total area of about 23 sq. miles, Holyoke is a city of Hampden County in Massachusetts. The City is on the western bank of the river Connecticut and the mountains of Mount Tom Range. Holyoke is situated at an elevated point of about 200 ft above the sea level. The retail sector is the principal source of employment in the area. Over the last few years a number of high tech industries have been developped within the periphery of the city. Some of the principal employers are Cisco Systems, MIT and Boston University.
